Trinity Primary School, Exeter

The schools new building was opened in September 2018 and an area with an unusually high ceiling had been earmarked to be the library. The height meant that we had the opportunity to design a mezzanine deck area (for little people only!) with a cosy beanbag area underneath as well as plenty of book shelves. The centrepiece is an oak tree with leaves and branches spanning the ceiling. Opposite is a honeycomb wall with recessed padded seats, doubling up as storage for the hexagonal stools, and a curved tiered seating area with books housed below the benching

This is our first collaboration with Matrix Joinery, who expertly manufactured and installed the project. The library has been a massive success with the pupils and staff, providing a fabulous feature for the school to be proud of.
